Seeking Red Team Assistance

Is there anyone that marched between 94 and 96 that still have their "SPONSORSHIP PACKET"? That thing was a GREAT source of Southwind History. It was given to members every year as an aid to get donations towards member dues. It was ALSO an excellent timeline and collection of historical documents.

If anyone still has a partial or complete Sponsorship Packet, PLEASE scan those pages and send to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Those that help will get credited on the history section as contributors.

THANKS!

What is wrong with this?

I looked at Southwind's page at DCI.org's site.

Read this description and tell me what you think is wrong...

About Southwind

The original Southwind organization was founded in Montgomery, Alabama in 1980, inspired by several local high school band students who wanted to march in a local drum corps. The corps did not have a name at first, but they soon got their title from the Chicago-to-Miami passenger train that ran on the tracks behind the corpsÂ’ practice field. The corps enjoyed much success in Drum corps InternationalÂ’s Division II and moved into Division I in 1993. In 1999, after several years of inactivity, the group returned as a Division I corps.

Hey everyone, thanks for coming to the site. I hope everyone enjoys and uses what I have here. First of all I have most of the bugs and kinks worked out, there are still a few here and there that I will get to soon.

If something isn't working right please let me know and I will get to correcting it. I am also interested in having assistance running this site from any interested alumni that have web and graphic design experience, or have moderated some sort of site before.

I hope to see some old friends and new ones soon.

Welcome to SW Alumni!

GenerationsI felt there was a lack in solidarity and unity in the alumni base for Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps. While this may or may not be true, I know that myself and other older people have felt somewhat disconnected from today's version of the corps. Other Drum Corps have these big fancy associations in place and some even have alumni corps for those that wish to continue living the dream into the adult years. Since Summer 07 when I attended Finals in Pasadena and hooked up with newer members and having them ask me questions of the old Southwind, I decided that want to provide an easy-to-use web site that brings the alumni of every edition of Southwind together. I hardly knew those people, but I did feel a connection with them for the short time we hung out in the stands finals night. They were indeed brothers and sisters. If you are a current member or a previous member of Southwind Drum & Bugle Corps, or if you were on the staff I invite you to register for this site.
